On the topic of my dedicated server running without BattlEye. After correcting this conflict the game now sees servers. This is not the case! I was running a dedicated server on the same machine with BattlEye removed and it was using the default ports. Initially the game was not listing servers and after some testing I came to the conclusion that was because of the removal of BattlEye. Just a small update after playing for a few weeks.įirst, I had some 'important information' before this update in the previous section. Yep, I know that was long winded, thank Microsoft for that! But we are still not quite ready yet.

You can now close the command prompt window. This will now start the uninstall procedure, just follow the prompts. Type "Uninstall_BattlEye" and press return."D:") and this will switch to the correct drive and will now show the BattlEye address as the prompt. Just enter the first 2 characters of the address (E.G. If nothing seemed to happen then you are on a different drive to where the game is installed. Your prompt should now show the address to the BattlEye folder. Now enter the command with the return key. Now type the following (without the quotes) "cd " followed with CTRL-V to paste the address.Hold the Windows key and press R to bring up a "Run" dialog and type "cmd" (without the quotes) in the text entry area then click OK.In the file browser right click the path near the top of the window that ends "> Outlaws > Binaries > Win64 > BattlEye" and select "Copy address as text".Now, you will see Uninstall_BattlEye.bat but unfortunately Microsoft decided to no longer support batch files being run with a double click so you will have to run it manually in CMD.EXE Navigate to the BattleEye installation by opening the folder called "Outlaws", then "Binaries", then "Win64" and finally "BattlEye".If BattlEye detects hacking, cheating, or another form of attack in Destiny 2, players can be removed from our game for violating our Code of Conduct.OK, now we are ready to start removing BattlEye: If players uninstall BattlEye or try to launch Destiny 2 from its installation folder instead of from Steam, Microsoft PC, or Epic Game Store's launcher, they will receive the PLUOT error code when signing in. If BattlEye is denied to install, Destiny 2 will be unable to launch. Players must allow BattlEye to be installed if they want to play Destiny 2. To play Destiny 2, BattlEye will automatically install when Destiny 2 receives an update and will be active on a player's computer when Destiny 2 is running. After the soft launch, the system will automatically apply bans. During the first few weeks, bans will be manually reviewed and applied. Beginning in Destiny 2 Update 3.3.0, Battleye will be included as Destiny 2's anti-cheat service.
